The hashtag #AwfullyBritishCommandments started trending recently, so we thought we would put the best 10 together for you so that you are up to speed on the rules we must all live by.
The Ten Commandments, also known as the #AwfullyBritishCommandments, are a set of British principles relating to being British and the accompanying lifestyle, which play a fundamental role in the lives of every British person, whether they have realised it or not.
The 10 British Commandments:
Thou shalt mutter “You’re welcome” under your breath, to the person who didn’t thank you for holding the door. #AwfullyBritishCommandments
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was an absolutely fantastic show. It was on the air for six years and entertained us throughout them. Will Smith’s character was endearing and well-intentioned (most of the time) and Carlton reminded us all of that family member. Uncle Phil was the seemingly cold figure who warmed our hearts when he displayed otherwise, and Jazz was the friend our parents were glad we never had.
As a kid, I was obsessed with sitcoms. Especially the ones that aired before my time. Keeping Up Appearances, The Good Life, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air were among my favourites.
So, how much can you remember from the hip show with the cool intro song that we can all still remember all the words to?

In 2012, Lucy Spraggan wowed the X-Factor judges with her quirky original songs and was a firm favourite after her audition, where she sang her song ‘Last Night’, with relatable lyrics about drinking and its consequences.
Lucy made it all the way to the finals, with Tulisa as her mentor, before she had to drop out of the show due to illness. She was too ill to perform in Week Four, so she was put through to Week Five automatically. However, she then bowed out from the show, saying it wasn’t fair for her to get any more free passes as a result of being unable to perform.
So, while many people loved Lucy Spraggan and have kept tuned into what she’s been up to (I know I have), this is an update on what she’s gotten up to since leaving the X-Factor…
In the Hogwarts universe, Transfiguration is pretty similar to science. You have to get it exactly right or you’re going to mess it up – case in point: remember that time Ron turned his pet rat into that gross furry goblet with a tail? Nobody wants to drink out of that.
“Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave.” – Minerva McGonagall
Sounds an awful lot like when science teachers were drilling us about bunsen burner safety in science lessons…
McGonagall, according to Pottermore, was talented with Transfiguration even as a young student. She was the “winner of the Transfiguration Today Most Promising Newcomer award”, and “under the guidance of her inspirational Transfiguration teacher, Albus Dumbledore, she had managed to become an Animagus; her animal form, with its distinctive markings (tabby cat, square spectacles markings around eyes) were duly logged in the Ministry of Magic’s Animagus Registry.”
So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to pass the science class of the wizarding world, take the test below and see how well you would do in Transfiguration 101!

British people have had many things dividing them recently. Brexit was a huge one, and the memes that followed were a thing of beauty. More recently was the Marmite Crisis that came to light after Tesco admitted they would no longer be stocking the “love me or hate me” product due to Brexit ramifications.
And now, we are presenting you with your toughest choice as a British citizen yet! It’s a classic game of ‘Would You Rather?’ with a British theme. Some questions will have a clear option for you to pick, but there will be some that you really have to scratch your head over for a moment and honestly ponder the pros and cons of both.
Let us know which options you picked in the comments – which decisions were really hard to make?
Share this quiz with your friends and see if they make the same tough calls as you, or maybe their “obviously wrong” answers will change the nature of your friendship forever…
Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a film buff? Do you think you can remember the titles of all of these 90s films? Take the test and find out!
These are the films we look back on fondly, even though now they have the distinct 90s technological disadvantages that aren’t present in modern films, we still love these movies despite their shortcomings.
The CGI isn’t as good, we don’t care. It’s part of what makes these films fantastic. The kids who acted in some of these films have grown up and Googling them now makes us feel old, but it doesn’t matter because our childhood is as immortalised as theirs in these classic films we watched when we were younger.
The real question, though, is how well does your memory serve you? Can you remember the name of these movies just from looking at a single screenshot from within the film? Not only will it be interesting to see how many you can name, this quiz is also fun because you’ll remember a bunch of films you watched when you were younger that you’ve not even thought about in years – and you’ll want to rewatch them. I know I saw “The Page Master” and said, aloud in the coffee shop I am working in, “oh my gosh I remember that film!”

We think you should take this quiz that has absolutely no scientific foundation. It sounds a little insane, but it really works (we think so, anyway). To all the people that have key tattoos, this quiz should really speak to you!
All you have to do is select a key; the one that you like the best. You choose it almost subconsciously, and surprisingly enough, it tells you about as much about your personality as a horoscope (so a fair amount of guess work but it feels like it’s revealing something to you anyway).
Look carefully at each key below, examine each of them closely. Then, select the one you think will unlock the secrets of your true personality. It is important that you only pick ONE key, then flip the image (by clicking on it) and the key you have chosen will reveal your true personality.
Which key did you choose? How accurate was it? Let us know in the comments!
Everyone remembers the movie Mean Girls. So many of its quotes are used in popular culture, so even the two people who haven’t watched it at least know that on Wednesdays, we wear pink.
While there has been many a rumour about a Mean Girls sequel, none have yet to come to fruition.
Earlier this year, there was talk of Tina Fey having a ‘Mean Girls Musical’ in the works, which was said to feature “more classic, Broadway-style music than pop-skewing, Bring It On: The Musical-like songs”. When Fey appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, she spoke about the plot – “We haven’t finished it yet, but it’s close — yes, pretty close”.
Regardless of whether of not the Mean Girls franchise does continue, in whatever form, how well do you really know the original?
You might know the Basic Bitch facts, but do you know the film inside out? Prove it! Take the quiz below and share your results in the comments! Just know that if you don’t do great, then you can’t sit with us.
