Ed Sheeran’s Last Minute Grammy Performance Will Blow You Away

With his year away from the public eye over, Ed Sheeran is making an incredible comeback and demonstrating his talent wherever and whenever he can. We know Ed always gives it his all, but his outstanding performance at the Grammy Awards was absolutely jaw-dropping.

What’s more, the ginger star only made the announcement for the performance seven hours before it happened – this was also not even 24 hours after he’d made an appearance on Saturday Night Live. With all things considered, we wouldn’t have been surprised if the performance had seemed just a little bit rough and unpolished. But as it turns out, Ed absolutely blew this notion out of the water anyway.

It was a complete throwback to his origins with the loop pedal. He performed solo using an acoustic guitar, a keyboard, and a mic or two. You can take a look at the performance in all its glory here:

Even though his addition was last-minute, he was the focal point of the Grammys for a lot of fans anyway. Twitter users were eager as ever to show their support and to shower their favourite in praise:

Thanks, Ed! This was everything we didn’t even know we wanted so badly.

Fried Chicken Valentine’s Bouquets Are Now Available From KFC

Deciding what to get for your crush or the love of your life for Valentine’s Day can be tricky for anybody. Do roses seem cheesy and often too expensive? Is a card alone not expressing the sentiment you wish to give? Chocolates just aren’t doing it for you anymore either? Not to worry, KFC are providing the obvious, deep-fried option.

According to KFC, their new fried chicken bouquet is far more appealing to the senses than any handful of flowers or bottle of perfume.

Made specifically to celebrate Valentine’s Day, each bouquet contains a tasty mix of all your favourites – original recipe drumsticks, popcorn chicken, and crispy strips. Yum!

However, there are only a limited number of bouquets being made. Twenty of them are going to be given to lucky Kentucky Fried Chicken fanatics on Valentine’s Day itself. The winners of the competition on the chain’s Facebook will be able to pick up one of the two available bouquets at the restaurant on Quay St, Auckland.

But what will happen to the other eighteen? Well, they’ll be handed to “known KFC lovers”, so says a spokesperson.

Think this is wild? It isn’t the first instance of KFC bringing out an interesting gift idea. Last year, a KFC candle was released… And yes, it smells exactly how you’d expect it to!

The limited edition novelty gift was scented just like KFC’s signature fried chicken. Perfect for anyone who wants accentuate their home in the best or weirdest way – we’re undecided.

This Twitter user seems to have made their mind up, though.

Well then.

So we’ll have to wait and see if the Valentine’s Day bouquets are anywhere near as appealing! The Facebook giveaway has already drawn in an incredible amount of folks, all commenting with hopes to win one of them.

What will you be getting your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day? Let us know in the comments!

Woman Loses Her Memory And Falls For Her Boyfriend A Second Time

This is one of those devastating stories that will most likely be seen in cinemas near you. Not only that, it’s also raising the bar for romance just in time for Valentine’s day.

Jessica Sharman has suffered from epileptic seizures during her life so far. Nothing major had happened to her outside of when these episodes were happening, until March of 2016.

Jessica and her boyfriend Richard Bishop had been together for seven months when they boarded a train to London and things took a drastic turn for the worse. Those close by to Jessica said that her eyes had glazed over, and she had gone limp.

Richard assisted her from the train and her parents were contacted. Upon their arrival, Jessica simply didn’t recognise them. Shocked, her mother showed her a photo album on her phone that Jessica should have been able to recall, though everyone began to realise that the situation showed real significance when Jessica didn’t even recognise her own face.

Jessica was taken to a home that she thought she’d never been to before. “My parents invited Rich over but I didn’t know him and, when they left me alone with him, I was really scared,” she said.

She spent a week at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where she was diagnosed with seizure induced amnesia. According to doctors, it might take up to 6 months for her memory to come back, and pieces of it are still missing today.

Back at home, Jessica began to hate the boyfriend that she could not recall. It only took her two weeks to want to end the relationship.

“He looked so hurt and promised he would help me remember how great we were together. Seeing how passionate and caring he was finally convinced me he must care for me, so I agreed to give it a shot.”

After going on walks together and revisiting their favourite restaurants, and with Richard giving her reminders of everything he could think of about their old life as a couple, things began to change.

“I don’t remember the first time I fell in love with Rich but I do remember the second. He was so patient with me, so sweet, I couldn’t help but fall for him,” she said.

But there was some bad news to come: Jessica was told by doctors that she could lose her memory again. She does, however, show confidence in her boyfriend despite the trying situation.

“Rich was able to make me fall in love with him twice, so I know he could do it again.”

This Teen Received The Most Brutal Job Rejection Text EVER

No one likes being turned down after an interview for a job. But when Megan Dixon – an 18-year-old from Leicester, UK – looked down at her phone to read the text she’d received from her interviewer, she couldn’t believe what she was reading.

After attending an interview at Miller and Carter Steakhouse on Tuesday, a ridiculously harsh rejection text was sent to Megan’s phone just a moment or two after she left.

Shantel Wesson, the branch’s assistant manager, only waited one minute before hitting send on the cruel message.

Brutal! Even if poking fun at Dixon’s language was appropriate, was that a typo or did Wesson really use the word “we’re” instead of “were”? Not to mention the emoji, the use of ‘x’…

Additionally, Dixon described interviewer’s behaviour “so unprofessional” after adding that she thought Wesson was unprepared – the interviewer’s phone would just not stop ringing during their time together.

The tweet has since gone viral. This seems to be rubbing everyone else the wrong way, too.

Despite all of this, management claim that Dixon was not the intended recipient of the texts, and they were not supposed to be unwelcome feedback as they appear here.

“We can’t apologise enough to Megan,” Said a spokesperson for Miller and Carter, “It was never our intention to be disrespectful or upset her in any way. The texts were send in error and were intended for our manager, not the candidate.”

Whether Dixon decides to accept the apology or not is up to her, but we won’t be surprised if “it’s a no x”.

11 Confounding Questions That Even Scientists Can’t Answer

It seems like nowadays science boffins have it all figured out – but really, there’s still more than a few things that still leave them scratching their heads.

Even with all the studying and experiments, we’re about to take a look at eleven mysteries that still have no real logical explanation to this day.

1. What animals did some creatures evolve from?

Image: wikipedia

There are quite a few species whose ancestors are completely unknown to us. For example, whilst we know that amphibians evolved from fish, we have no idea when exactly that happened. After all, the first land animals to crawl from the primordial ooze already had limbs and heads that were very well developed.

What’s more, if the dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago, where did the species of mammals that followed come from? Well, scientists sure don’t know!

2. How does a cat purr?

One of the most familiar methods of communication a cat uses is a purr, but no one’s figured out how they do it. Scientists do tell us that a kitty will make the vibrations using their vocal chords, which causes the sound. The frequency of a purr reduces pain and speeds up healing, so that’s why cats will purr when they’re hurt, too.

Special bonus fact: when a cat purrs, you can’t hear their heartbeat! Weird.

3. What was in that gelatinous rain, anyway?

Image: pinimg

In August of 1994, the people of Oakville, Washington, witnessed a bizarre and unexplained phenomenon. Weird, jelly-like stuff began to fall from the sky. A day later, an abundance of people experienced an illness with flu-like symptoms. What?

When analysed by scientists, the jelly “stuff” was found to contain two different kinds of bacteria. One of those is a bacteria found in the human digestive system. However, no connection was found between this discovery and the outbreak.

4. Do cows have some kind of magnetic head-compass?

Image: depositphotos

Scientists were able to study thousands of bovines whilst they were grazing using Google Earth. An unexpected pattern was revealed: 70% of the cows studied turned their heads either north or south whilst eating or drinking. It made no difference where and when the cows were observed – they all still did the same thing.

Student Who Burned £20 In Front Of Homeless Man Facing Expulsion Petition

Following a Cambridge University student setting fire to a £20 note in front of a homeless man, a petition has been launched to have him expelled.

A SnapChat video has circulated, showing student Ronald Coyne struggling to set the note on fire while wearing a white bow tie and tails. The camera then panned across to the homeless man he was taunting.

Unknown

Coyne, the communications officer of the University’s Conservative Association has been fired from his position following the outrage caused by his actions.

Additionally, a petition entitled “Remove Ronald Coyne from Cambridge University” has been launched, demanding his expulsion and that he be made to work at a homeless shelter.

Ronald’s mom, Sandra McLaughlin (46) has spoken about the incident, revealing that her son has previously volunteered at a homeless shelter for two years and “felt really bad about” setting the money on fire in front of the homeless man.

“I don’t recognise that behaviour in my son. I don’t really know why he’s done something so thoughtless and cruel. It’s completely out of character. He did two years of volunteering at a shelter homeless shop in Edinburgh. It’s very surprising. We’re just a normal family. We’re not toffs, he’s not a toff. He’s been a hard-working student who is very, very lucky and aware of the privilege he has to study at Cambridge.”

She continued, saying

“It’s been stressful. I’m starting to panic because I can’t get a hold of him. He spoke to us after the event and said he’d done something very stupid and felt really bad about it. He went out a few nights later around Cambridge with one of his friends to do the homeless run and give out tea, coffee and sandwiches to them. He’s obviously known what he’s done himself. It’s baffling. He wasn’t a wild teenager, he was in chess club at school.”

12 Times Waitstaff Completely Destroyed A Customer’s Special Moment

When waitstaff were asked how they absolutely ruined a really special moment for a customer, these were some of the top answers.

1. I accidentally split a small amount of white wine on a woman’s coat while clearing the floor. She instantly gets this look of vehement anger and disgust on her face but before she can say anything her husband butts in. “Oh thank god! That coat is hideous.”

They were both drunk and really pissed off with each other. I apologised and tried to escape. The wife kept following me around trying to yell at me but the husband just kept stopping her mid-sentence, commenting on her horrible clothes and how he wished I would spill stuff on all her belongings.

They eventually started yelling and screaming at each other and were escorted out by security.

2. Long story short, dude says, “Hey, I want to propose, can you help me?” as he hands me a ring. Ok, this would be cool if the family of 14 was just walking in. Dude said this as I’m taking away the plate of his main course. Yeah, they are basically done. Really dude? We are a well known, high end place. We can do some pretty awesome stuff…with time. People phone such information in, a few months in advance.

I quickly grab two servers and tell them to take full control of my other 2 tables. I grab my manager, and two of us head to our barkey. We get the kitchen manager involved. 5-10 minutes later, we have a large platter, maybe 14 inches by 14 inches, fully decorated with special desserts, freshly drawn designs bordering the whole plate, and “Will you marry me?” written in the middle, with one desert holding the ring. I walk out, and he already makes eye contact with me. I wink to let him know it’s on.

I approach the table and say roughly, “Ladies and Gentlemen, we appreciate your return business so we have a little complimentary dessert to enjoy.” I place it down directly in front of the couple. There are some gasps, he gets down on one knee, she’s crying, YES, cell phone pictures, and then my manager comes out with some comped champagne. Later, one of the moms says, “I was looking for you earlier to ask for some coffee, but I guess you were busy with more important stuff huh?”

3. Birthday party for a families grandfather. It was a nice little cake with some type of ww2 fighter plane stuck on top of it because he was a veteran. Presented the cake they sang all is fine and dandy. So many comments on how awesome the cake looks, grandpa is so grateful for his family getting him a thoughtful cake. Tells me how excited he is.

Go back to cut the cake with the pantry girl and we drop the cake and it is all smashed all over the floor.

I felt so terrible. Grandpa was understanding and didn’t care too much. But daughter was pissed and basically in tears.

4. My manager was helping me with this group of girls who had a birthday. I thought let’s make it fun and grab everyone’s attention and sing for this girl. For some reason my manager thought he should crack a joke so he asks the girl how old is she turning and she responded with “18” with some giggles. So he then proceeds to yell “YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!” He takes a break to build the suspense and then shouts “SHES LEGAL!” Not a single person laughed. Everyone just stared at us and the girl sitting just became super weirded out. Anyways it was a super awkward happy birthday song and a swift exit from the ladies.

QUIZ: How Well Do You Remember “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air”?

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was an absolutely fantastic show. It was on the air for six years and entertained us throughout them. Will Smith’s character was endearing and well-intentioned (most of the time) and Carlton reminded us all of that family member. Uncle Phil was the seemingly cold figure who warmed our hearts when he displayed otherwise, and Jazz was the friend our parents were glad we never had.

Stuffpoint

As a kid, I was obsessed with sitcoms. Especially the ones that aired before my time. Keeping Up Appearances, The Good Life, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air were among my favourites.

So, how much can you remember from the hip show with the cool intro song that we can all still remember all the words to?

Remember X-Factor’s LUCY SPRAGGAN? Here’s What She’s Up To Now!

In 2012, Lucy Spraggan wowed the X-Factor judges with her quirky original songs and was a firm favourite after her audition, where she sang her song ‘Last Night’, with relatable lyrics about drinking and its consequences.

Lucy made it all the way to the finals, with Tulisa as her mentor, before she had to drop out of the show due to illness. She was too ill to perform in Week Four, so she was put through to Week Five automatically. However, she then bowed out from the show, saying it wasn’t fair for her to get any more free passes as a result of being unable to perform.

PA: Press Association

So, while many people loved Lucy Spraggan and have kept tuned into what she’s been up to (I know I have), this is an update on what she’s gotten up to since leaving the X-Factor…
