Woman Loses Her Memory And Falls For Her Boyfriend A Second Time

This is one of those devastating stories that will most likely be seen in cinemas near you. Not only that, it’s also raising the bar for romance just in time for Valentine’s day.

Jessica Sharman has suffered from epileptic seizures during her life so far. Nothing major had happened to her outside of when these episodes were happening, until March of 2016.

Jessica and her boyfriend Richard Bishop had been together for seven months when they boarded a train to London and things took a drastic turn for the worse. Those close by to Jessica said that her eyes had glazed over, and she had gone limp.

Richard assisted her from the train and her parents were contacted. Upon their arrival, Jessica simply didn’t recognise them. Shocked, her mother showed her a photo album on her phone that Jessica should have been able to recall, though everyone began to realise that the situation showed real significance when Jessica didn’t even recognise her own face.

Jessica was taken to a home that she thought she’d never been to before. “My parents invited Rich over but I didn’t know him and, when they left me alone with him, I was really scared,” she said.

She spent a week at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where she was diagnosed with seizure induced amnesia. According to doctors, it might take up to 6 months for her memory to come back, and pieces of it are still missing today.

Back at home, Jessica began to hate the boyfriend that she could not recall. It only took her two weeks to want to end the relationship.

“He looked so hurt and promised he would help me remember how great we were together. Seeing how passionate and caring he was finally convinced me he must care for me, so I agreed to give it a shot.”

After going on walks together and revisiting their favourite restaurants, and with Richard giving her reminders of everything he could think of about their old life as a couple, things began to change.

“I don’t remember the first time I fell in love with Rich but I do remember the second. He was so patient with me, so sweet, I couldn’t help but fall for him,” she said.

But there was some bad news to come: Jessica was told by doctors that she could lose her memory again. She does, however, show confidence in her boyfriend despite the trying situation.

“Rich was able to make me fall in love with him twice, so I know he could do it again.”

Remember X-Factor’s LUCY SPRAGGAN? Here’s What She’s Up To Now!

In 2012, Lucy Spraggan wowed the X-Factor judges with her quirky original songs and was a firm favourite after her audition, where she sang her song ‘Last Night’, with relatable lyrics about drinking and its consequences.

Lucy made it all the way to the finals, with Tulisa as her mentor, before she had to drop out of the show due to illness. She was too ill to perform in Week Four, so she was put through to Week Five automatically. However, she then bowed out from the show, saying it wasn’t fair for her to get any more free passes as a result of being unable to perform.
